1965

Lava Lite, LLC was formed in the United States. The first production Lava Lamp was called The Century.

1968

The AristrocratModel is introduced to the public. It featured what is commonly known as the trademark “Lava Lamp” shape.

1973

Lava Lite unveils The CarlisleLava Lamp. In later years, pinholes were added and it was renamed The Wizard.

1975

Lava Lamps explode in popularity and become a staple in many households across the U.S.

1977

Get ready to get your glitter on! Lava Glitter Lampsare introduced to the market.

1990

Lava Lamps see a resurgence in popularity and introduce the 32-oz. globe, The Electroplasma.

1998

Lava Lite launches the 20-oz. Lava Lamp, which is currently still our most popular lamp size.

2003

The Colossus, a 4ft. tall Lava Lamp, is introduced to the public. This is the largest fully functioning Lava Lamp ever made!

2013

Today, there are over 92 unique Lava Lamps with more designs being imagined every day.
